Unveiling Harry Lumsden and Trumpeter Swan signs

The Aurora Community Arboretum has recently completed and installed an educational sign honouring Harry Lumsden and his work in reintroducing the Trumpeter Swan in Ontario. The sign overlooks a swan nesting platform installed 2 years ago on the Arboretum’s large storm water pond. This platform was built according to Harry’s design and we hope that our local swans will be successful using this in future.

Family, friends and those who wish to remember and honour Harry are invited to an unveiling of Harry’s sign in the Arboretum at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

The closest parking is along Woodroof Crescent in Aurora, or more parking is available at the Leisure Complex by the Sports Dome and then walk across to the location shown on the map.
