Tech for Nature in the Arboretum

Join us for a family-friendly guided hike that combines nature exploration with technology.

Participants will use tools such as iNaturalist and Seek to discover and identify the plants and animals that call the Arboretum home. Program staff from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority will provide iPads and traditional field guides, and lead participants through the Arboretum’s trails while demonstrating how these tools can be used to connect with nature in an interactive way.

This hands-on program is a great opportunity to discover the diversity of plant and animal life in the Arboretum while learning identification skills that can be applied year-round.
